Hatikvah

Hebrew for "the hope," Hatikvah is the title of the national anthem of Israel. Originally composed in the nineteenth century, Hatikvah was a central anthem in the Zionist movement in the early twentieth century, and continued to be used unofficially as the national anthem of the state of Israel until 2004, when it was officially adopted.
