Holocaust

The systematic mass murder of approximately six million Jewish men, women and children by the National Socialist (Nazi) regime in Germany and collaborators during World War II. The Nazi plan for the extermination of the Jews of Europe was called the "Final Solution to the Jewish Question.” Two-thirds of the Jewish population of Europe, and one third of the worldwide Jewish population, died in the Holocaust.
